How to Edit Video Clips onto a DVD?

I'm want to make a DVD for my girlfriend for Christmas, I want to record all of her friends and family saying reasons on why she is amazing but I want to prove to her that i'm not the only one who thinks she is amazing, but i'm not sure how to do it I have an iphone and a camcorder I can record all the videos but the actual putting the videos on a DVD and how to edit them to shorten them and just make it perfect any idea? I'm Clueless

After all the video is captured, get the video into a computer. Windows has MovieMaker; Macintosh has iMovie.

Use a transcoder like HandBrake from www.handbrake.fr to convert the video into a format the video editor can deal with. MovieMaker likes WMV files; iMovie likes MOV and MP4 files.

Cut bad parts. Add scene transitions. Add text/credits. Export or "Share" to a large high quality file.

Bring that rendered file into a DVD authoring application like MyDVD, WinDVD for Windows; iDVD or Burn for Macintosh…

Another option is to post all of the clips on a free youtube channel that you can do.

As supplementary to the default video editor programs on Windows (movie maker) and Mac (iMovie), you can try ezvid, Kate's Video Toolkit or VSDC Free Video Editor. All are free.

After your video is captured, you can use one video coverter software to convert your video to the right format for video editor like windows movie maker to edit. Then when everything is done ok, you can burn your video to dvd+rw disk. This course, you may need to use video burner software or tool to help. DVD flick or dvd creator software can help you a lot.
