How to enlarge a photo without pixelation?

I saw an amazing bird on my neighbors roof and wanted to identify, so I snapped a quick picture with my iPhone 4s before it flew away. Unfortunately when I zoom in it's not clear enough to identify. I knew this would probably happen with the camera I was using. The actual image width is 2448 pixels and the height is 3264 pixels. The horizontal and vertical resolution is 72 dpi. I have adobe Photoshop CS6 if anyone knows how to zoom in without pixelation please let me know. I've attached the picture. The bird is next to the chimney on the roof. You can just make out it's grey figure. That's what I'm trying to get a clearer image of. If anyone knows how I can do that clearly I'd really appreciate some help! Thanks so much!

Sorry to say, you need a camera with a larger sensor and a good long telephoto lens to get a recognizable picture of a bird at the distance shown in your photo. You iPhone with its tiny sensor and tiny wide angle lens is simply not suited for this application.

Too many CSI episodes

You… Can't… Be… Serious?

Not going to happen, … Not in the real world.

This image viewed is only 354 x 472 pixels
where chimney is not recognizable, nor bird,
the quality in this make s feather as 10 pixel range, where original would have at least 50 pixels per feature,

2448 by 3264 pixels. As 8 mp

you may have been better for us, to crop cut exact bird out of image, and save copy to post smaller image with details,

also posting in bird category;

The bird can't be ID'd in this picture:-( At 72 dpi there's just not enough data to zoom in/crop without pixelating the image.

If you enjoy identifying birds, try Cornell Ornithology Lab's new, free Merlin Bird ID app for iPhones, iPads. It's easy to use and great for beginners. It will allow you to id the common species of birds in your area and, even if your bird isn't common, you can at least id it to the group it belongs in and then do what the rest of us do and look at pictures of birds until you find The One.

My favorite place to nail down "What kind of bird is that?" is Google images. Type in the name of the bird you think it is and then look at the photos.
