How to find owner to iphone 4s?

Why do you want to find the owner? Did you steal it and want to open it but don't know what the code is? Because if thats true then you're stupid. If you found it then freaking turn it into the police station so it can return to its rightfull owner.
If the phone is with a local cell phone carrier, all you need to do is take it to the nearest cell phone store for that carrier, and hand it to one of the clerks there, and they can find the owner via the IMEI number/phone number/account info on their computers. THEY WILL NOT give you the owners contact info, but WILL give the owner YOUR contact info if you leave it.
More likely than not, the owner has reported the phone lost or stolen by now, and you will more than likely just have the phone taken from you if you hand it in to be looked at. If I were that clerk, I'd say thanks and go on with my day. Others may look at you are a thief and call the cops. You will just have to take the chance, because once it is reported stolen, you will not be able to activate it on the carrier.
Unless the phone has no security & you check through details like the About section in Settings to see, there's likely nothing you could do at this point. Try taking it to the police, carrier store or Apple Store.
