How to fix my iphone (no sound without headphones)?

So recently I dropped my iPhone down the toilet (easier than it looks haha) and I pulled it out instantly and it was fine. At first the home button was a little glitchy and wouldn't work but then I left it and it's fine. I've put it in a bag of rice and stuff and it's been fine until yesterday when I realised it won't play any music or ring or any sounds without headphones in. There's no volume button that appears or anything. How can I fix this? I really can't afford repairs.

Hi we repair water damaged iphones and i'm afraid the rice trick does little to stop corrosion on the inside, depending on how far you want to go with it, you need to strip the phone down a wash the mainboard in surgical spirits and brush all connectors with a tooth brush and spirits, the dock connection is the likely cause off the volume issue if you look at our google reviews a client had the same issue and the dock resolved it https://plus.google.com/...bout?hl=en

Your best bet is to use a company called XpressFix in Orlando or if you want to perform the repair yourself you should get a replacement speaker/ microphone from www.ebay.com. If you want to send it off to have a professional technician replace the speaker and microphone part it will run around 30-40 dollars and you will get a water damage cleanse well. Check out XpressGuard on http://www.xpressfix.com for iPhone water proofing. It's pretty cool.
