How to get my iPhone 5 to stay connected to Wi-Fi?

My house has Wi-Fi, and I try to keep my phone connected to it so it doesn't use data. Every ten minutes or so the Wi-Fi will disconnect! Any ideas on how to fix it?

This is a reoccurring problem with iOS six affecting the hardware ability to connect to Wi-Fi. From experience I can tell you that calling your cell provider should help with your problems and upgrading to iOS 6.0.1 should help you too.

  • Why won't my Wi-Fi stay connected on my iPhone? Everyone in my house has an iPhone. My phone is the only phone that constantly disconnects from the Wi-Fi every 10-15 minutes. I tried resetting the network and everything.
  • Why won't my iPhone 5s connect/stay connected to my Wi-Fi? I have reset phone back to factory settings. I have reset network settings. It connects briefly then disconnects and says it can't join network. It's recently started telling me I have an incorrect password (I'm typing it correctly) Both my laptop and tv are having no problems connecting. Hopefully someone can help me out. I won't be able to go into Verizon until the weekend. And if it's something I can fix on my own, I would rather do so.
  • Why won't my iPhone 4S stay connected to Wi-Fi? Every time I'm connected to Wi-Fi and then lock my screen the Wi-Fi isn't connected anymore. So then I have to go to setting and reconnect every time. How can I stay connected to Wi-Fi even when I lock my screen.
  • Why does my iPhone not stay connected to the internet? My phone is in a constant state of logging on and off of the internet and will not stay connected. I have an iPhone 4, I just updated to iOS 6, I've sync'd to iTunes, restarted my phone, turned off Wi-Fi and turned it back on, and even reset my home internet but nothing has fixed the issue. I'm also unable to update my apps, but thats another question. Anyone know what could be wrong?
