How to get my lock button unstuck?

I have the iPhone 4 & this is the first time this have happened. I believe my lock button is stuck because it is really hard to get my phone to lock. What can I do to make my
lock button lose or back to the way it was? The help is greatly appreciated.

Fix it

Here's the trick:
Take a hammer, and tap lightly on the lock button. If this does not work, tap harder. Keep increasing the pressure of the hammer until the button is freed. Feel free to give the button a good hard whack. Don't worry about the phone breaking, Apple's iPhone 4 and 4S have a stainless aluminium lock button, it is shock absorbent and can withstand forces of up to 4000 lbs (that's like dropping it from the 50th floor of the Empire State Bulding)! Although do not drop it from the Empire State Building, as it will break unless it lands on the lock button.
