How to get rid of the rainbow effect on the Otterbox Defender for the iPhone 5?

I have a Defender series case for my iPhone 5. I just started get the rainbow effect on the built in screen protector. I tried the baby powder trick and it didn't work. I was wondering if anyone knew any other tricks besides the baby powder one.

Never hear of the baby powder trick but quite frankly its best to just take that plastic shield off just use an adhesive screen protector that sticks to the screen. Thats what I did and I looked so much cleaner.

I had someone else tell me that he put an anti glare screen protector on his iphone before he put the otterbox on and it eliminated the problem. Personally I haven't tried that so i don't know for sure. But at that point i don't see the need for the otterbox screen to be on there if he was using a screen protector on the phone already lol.

That decreases the touch sesativity alot

  • Would you get the Otterbox Defender or the Speck Candy Shell? I'm getting the 4s soon and I can't decide which of these two cases to get. Perks of the Otterbox is that it has a built in screen protector, it will protect your iPhone no matter what. But I don't like how it's so bulky. Perks of the Candy Shell is that its way slimmer than the Otterbox, and it's shock absorbent. But I'm not sure if it'll protect the phone just as good as an Otterbox.
  • Where to get this otterbox defender? So i want an otterbox defender iphone 5 with the color slate grey and blaze orange but it costs so much because its the customized colors on otterbox.com. Can you tell me where to get one cheaper I've checked ebay and amazon but they don't have it either?
  • Should I get the Otterbox Defender series case for my iPhone 4? I really like the look of the defender series case, and I like all of the security it provides. So the big question: should I get it? Is it extremely bulky? Does the plastic casing part scratch the phone? Why do you like and dislike?
  • Should I get the mophie iphone 4s juice pack air or and otterbox defender case? I can't get the Otterbox iON case because it costs a lot but should I get the mophie case or the otterbox defender. I don't really have use for a otterbox because I never drop my phone. I'm leaning towards the mophie, but i want to know how durable the case is as well as the battery. Thanks in advance! Hey sry about the mishap. Didn't mean to post it at the Travel section.
