How to make iPhone forget a text contact?
Long story short, I deleted someone's contact, but when I type in the name in the "send to" field for texting the contact name with the number is an option to send to, I don't even want to see that name of that person or their number but my iPhone is "remembering" it. And I want it to "forget" it but I don't know how, help please?
Based on the manner that you described your phone is behaving, you did *not* successfully delete this person's contact information from your iPhone. Do that first.
Then create a "Unknown Caller" entry in your iPhone's address book, then add that person's phone to that contact.
A good practice is to also assign silent ringtone and text tones to that "Unknown Caller" entry. Short of having your cellular carrier block their number, this is the easiest way to deal with someone you don't wish to communicate with again.
