How to order something online outside Egypt and have it delivered without any extra custom charges?
So i bought a couple of iPhone cases on eBay US and had them delivered from Hong Kong and paid using my credit card. But when the cases arrived the delivery man asked me to pay another large sum of money ( 200 EGP ) and he said that anything that enters egypt has to be charged customs or some **** like that. Can someone help me please because i need to order some more stuff online but i don't want to be charged any extra money.
Sounds like your country has import duties. And anything you buy from outside Egypt gets these. Now I have no knowledge of how things work in your country. For some countries, this is how you raise revenue. And at the same time protect sellers from within your own country.
I few months ago, I bought something from Japan. I asked about import duties, and was told there were none. I'm here in the US
Far as I know, there's no way to protect yourself from import duties, other than to buy from within your own country.
