How to retrieve photos from iphone dropped on water?

My friends and I hiked a few days ago and dropped my i4 in the water. I let it dry and put it in rice when I got back home. After letting it sit for 36 hours I tried charging it and it did! But only after a few hours, it turned off and I couldn't turn it on again. Can I still get my photos back from that day? I opened my photostream on my pc but they weren't there. Is there any other way?

If the phone is now dead and unresponsive then you can't retrieve anything from it. There are specialist data recovery companies but they charge a huge amount and even they can't guarantee recovery.

If it's connected on your iCloud then that shouldn't be a problem.

  • Will I be able to retrieve the memory from my water damaged iPhone? My phone had dropped in a pool and was left there for about 3 minutes. The iPhone isn't working anymore but I was wondering if it's possible to put the sim card or hard drive into another iPhone 5 and I could be able to get the memory back?

  • I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
