Will I be able to retrieve the memory from my water damaged iPhone?

My phone had dropped in a pool and was left there for about 3 minutes. The iPhone isn't working anymore but I was wondering if it's possible to put the sim card or hard drive into another iPhone 5 and I could be able to get the memory back?

The SIM card may indeed work, however unfortunately there's no hard drive in the phone to remove. Your data is stored in the phones flash memory which is built into the phones chipset.

Unless that phone powers on, unfortunately, no. 3 minutes in water is like 3 years. Water/moisture on circuits and boards will either fry them or corrode them. You sim only holds basic info so the bulk of what you want is still on that phone. You can try it, but it will have to have a power source to retrieve it. Best luck.
