How to sign in with my apple ID?
Okay so I've made a new apple ID. I've signed in with it on FaceTime on my macbook successfully. However when it comes to signing in with iMessage on my iPhone the message comes up "could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again."
I don't know why it won't let me sign in!
I'm signed in with a DIFFERENT apple ID on my iCloud. Could this be why?
Also if I sign out of this iCloud account and in with another one, where does the stuff back up to?
Try going on Settings > Store, and signout from your AppleID.
My advice is to set an Apple ID for "all" aspects in your iPhone, same issue was recovered from my iPhone when I used a universal Apple ID.
About iCloud, all the backed up stuff are stored online with your Apple ID, so you can easily change your iCloud ID knowing that your stuff will be back automatically when you sign in with your previous Apple ID.
