How to sync my music from my iPhone to my iTunes on a new computer?

I have an iPhone 4 with a tune of music, but I would like to add more. My computer (with all of my songs from my iTunes on it) recently crashed so I got a new one. I can't for the life of me figure out how to sync the songs from my iPhone to my iTunes on my new computer. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Btw, I'm not good with computers, so please provide simple, easy to follow directions.

Get a usb thingie and plug it info your old com
and let it sync take that out and put it to the new com let that download imto the com

Download iTunes on the new computer and plug your iPhone in using a USB, it will automatically sync to your account. Don't worry, you won't lose anything, since everything you ever download (unless you delete) saves onto your iTunes account.

"My computer (with all of my songs from my iTunes on it) recently crashed so I got a new one"

And you never backed up your music to flash drive, external HD, CDR or anything right? Questions like yours are posted here everyday, yet people still make this mistake. The same question and the same sentence:

My computer died
all my music was on it
replaced computer w/new one
how do I get music from my iPod on it?

"I can't for the life of me figure out how to sync the songs from my iPhone to my iTunes on my new computer."

Because you can't. Apple designed iTunes and iPods that way because they sell the music that goes on their devices. They can't keep people from using music from other sources like CD's or torrents (not if they want to stay in the digital media hardware business) but they can make it harder for people to copy from each other's iPods.

They made the compromise to prevent people from being able to copy from an iPod. The logic is that stuff you bought on iTunes can be downloaded to any authorized computer.

As for stuff NOT bought on iTunes? Apple "guessed" that people who spend hundreds of dollars on computers and hardware like iPhones should know how to do something as simple as copy an mp3 file from a computer to a flash drive or CDR. In the future, this is what you SHOULD do. It's much easier than copying from an iPhone.

Until then, you can probably copy from an iPhone using copytrans or sharepod.

I've never used them because I've never needed to.

Or, you can read the answers given to the last few thousand people who already asked this question.

Recently bought a new computer because my last computer failed on me, deleting all my programs from my computer, so I downloaded iTunes but I'm not sure how to put all of my files from my iPhone to my new iTunes on my new computer without completely wiping out everything. • Music won't sync to iphone when i sync itunes? I plug my iphone 4 into my computer, and sync my itunes stuff. It syncs the contacts, calendars, apps, everything except my music.
  • If I sync JUST music to iPhone on a new computer - do I lose everything? Hi, my computer is broken and in for repair but I want new music on my iPhone. If I plug my iPhone into my laptop (after unticking 'allow devices to auto-sync') and ONLY sync music… Will I lose everything on my phone or will my music just change? It suggests in a warning I can only sync to one computer and I'd lose everything - but I don't know if this 'everything' is actually everything - like my pictures - or just all my current music - which would be fine.
