How to turn the text tone on on an iPhone 5s?
The mute switch thing on the side is set to on, the ringer and alerts sounds are set to full, there's something selected for the type of sound, and the iPhone is still not making sound. I tried holding the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it still does not work.
You need to dig around in Settings - Sounds until you find the list of things that potentially would MAKE a sound - and make sure that you have chosen a sound for Messages. Not enough to just have the Alerts sound on - it will *ding* or whatever when you get OTHER things you assigned to Alerts - like Weather, etc. - but you must choose WHAT is going to make WHAT sound - and then assign it to Alerts. Easier to show you how, than tell you how.
- Why isn't my text tone working on my iPhone 4s? It's a brand new phone. The volume is all the way up and all of my other tones work fine. In the settings, it indicates that it will both play the tone and vibrate when I get a text. It does neither.
- What piece of music is the ring-tone from the iPhone 4 named Minuet? I've been looking for it everywhere but can't seem to find it by just searching Minuet, seeing as there are 50 million songs with the same name, thought someone might recognise it!
- Setting a ring tone on IPhone 4S for all emergency text messages? I have an Iphone 4S and I want to set a custom ring tone for all emergency text messages I receive. These text messages come from a different number each and every time. (ie. 777203777562, 777… ). All text messages start with "alert@erie.gov".Is there any program or any way where I can create a ring tone for all these numbers without typing them all in?
- My text tone does not work (iPhone)? I have the iPhone 4S & the "Alert" text tone set. When I'm on my phone & I receive a text, it rings. But when my phone is locked & I receive a text, it doesn't ring or vibrate or do anything. What do I do to fix this?
