How to update to iOS 6 from jailbroken iPhone 4 32GB 5.1.1 iOS?

I've Untethered Jailbroken 5.1.1 iPhone 4. I want to update to iOS 6. As it is jailbroken. Do i need to restore and update it via the iTunes or directly from the iPhone (over-the-air technology)? I don't need the jailbreak right now. I can wait easily for the Untethered one. So will updating the iOS directly from iPhone remove jailbreak? Is it safe?

Hook it to iTunes and have it do a factory restore

Honey your iphone is jailbroke so upgrading it will let again lock your phone so again you will have to jailbreak it and by the way i0s6 jailbroke is not there.

Do a factory restore n then update via itunes

Connect to iTunes and update through it.
