How to use iPhone 5s as iPod? Read the whole description please and

I bought an iPhone 5s jus today. I have my sim card ready but just need to go to the store and get it in the phone tomorrow. So basically the sim is not in the phone. So my question is CAN I USE MY PHONE AS AND IPOD AND THEN TOMORROW PUT IN THE SIM CARD WITHOUT ANY EXTRA CHARGES OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT? Thanks

The SIM card is only needed to identify the phone to the carrier. Phone calls, data connection and texting - that's all that's disabled without a SIM card.

In every other respect, an iPhone without a SIM card is an iPod.

Yes, you can use it just as an ipod touch but be aware if you buy it on contract price then you pay the 2 year contract whether you use it or not.
