I bought an iPhone 4 on eBay that is locked to Optus. How do I unlock it?
The phone was advertised as unlocked but it appears that it is locked to Optus after all. Can someone help me with this?
You can try resetting your iphone by tethering it with a cord to a laptop and doing some procedure. Your best bet is calling an apple representative and asking them, or looking up how to reset. Reset restores the phone to factory settings, I think.
If it was out of contract, Apple should be able to unlock it for you. Go to the apple store to do this, and then you can activate it on your existing account.
Get the phone factory unlocked. I got my iPhone 4S unlocked from this guy (arghyle@rocketmail.com), you can check with him too.
