I can't use my iCloud storage?

I have an iPhone 5c. I Ran out of storage on my phone, so I upgraded to the 50 GB plan. However, whenever I try to take a picture, a message says that I do not have enough space to take a picture. When I go to settings and look at my storage, it shows that I have 46 GB available. Does anybody know how to fix this?

You need to log in to the iCloud support page and look for the "Contact Us" option. You can get them in a chat. I did. It is probably just a glitch that needs a switch flipped.

After your photos have been backed up to the cloud, you then delete them from your phone. Why? You need to have space on your phone to take the picture, that then get uploaded to your Cloud space. But before you delete anything, open up a Gmail account and log into it as well as your Google Photos account (free when you open a Gmail account), get the Google Photos app from iTunes and make sure all your pictures are ALSO backed up there. Then delete all your pictures from the phone, once you know for certain that all pictures on on BOTH iCloud and Google Photos.
