I dropped my iPhone 4 in water and it won't turn on?

So I dropped my iPhone 4 in water. What I did is I tried to turn it on but nothing happened
and so I researched and I found the Rice Method, Tried it but while its in the zip lock with rice
the flashlight turned on (Is it normal?) I placed it in the zip lock at 5:30 pm and removed it the next
day at 10:30 pm. But it still did not work. I tried charging it but the camera at the back starts to
moist, So I removed it and placed it back in the zip lock. The next day I tried it again but still
nothing happens. Now I have no choice but to open the back case. When I opened it, it was wet
so I wiped it off and tried to turn it on but no sign even when I charge it because the camera will
just moist. So what I did is place it back in the zip lock with the back removed. Is what I did correct?
Is my iPhone dead? Any Tips?

Because water is not pure, but contains some metals and other minerals, the circuits have likely been shorted out. Getting the water out from inside should have been your first move, but even then the odds are that it will never work correctly again.

Your phone is dead

Phone (not waterproof) + Water = Dead
Unless you dry the the phone before turning it on - which you unfortunately didn't, the phone is dead.

  • I jailbroke my iphone now it won't turn on, so I reset it and it still won't turn on? I jailbroke my Iphone a few days ago, it's an Iphone 4. Everything was working fine until today when I installed a tweak. After the tweak installed I had to restart springboard, now it won't turn on. The apple logo pops up then goes away. I plugged it into my laptop and reset it but it's still doing the same thing.
  • I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
  • I dropped my iPhone in water and now the screen won't turn on what should i do? It seems like the phone is still working because it still makes noise when I touch the buttons and my alarm still went off this morning but the screen is completely black. It is in rice now but is that still the best solution if everything is working except my screen? And I know I'm supposed to turn it off but I can't because the screen won't work.
  • I dropped my iphone in water and now it won't turn on? I dropped my Iphone 4 In the water, I tried to turn it on by pressing both the home and the power button at the same time. The apple loggo started to glow but then it turned off and now I can't turn it on again. Is there any way I can make it work again or should I just buy a new one?
