I dropped my iphone 4s in water
I dropped it in water for just a second. The touch screen still works, but it can't play any sound and it keeps restarting every time I try to turn it off. I finally gave up and put it in a ziplock bag full of rice while it's still on. I couldn't find any red dot in the indicator places either. What should I do now?
Added (1). Oh, it was also in an Otterbox case, the defender kind.
Added (2). There isn't an Apple store anywhere near me either.
Buy a new phone.

Go to the service center and they'll give you a new phone or fix this one.
When I did this to my phone the people at the phone shop said to put in in rice! This don't work for me but it's worked for a lot of others! Maybe you should visit a phone shop if the indicator isn't red?
Check the insurance to see if it cover water damage or accidental damage. If not go to your local phone repair shop and ask them to fix it or you can ask around a few and get the cheapest quote.
Depends if you have insurance go to the apple store
Put it a bag of rice lay bag in the sun
Get a qtip and put in the head phone jack as far as you can and start twisting.
It will fix the noise problem.
Keep it in the rice for about 3-5 hours before you do that
- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
- I dropped my iPhone in water - 3 I just dropped my phone in water about a minute ago(it's 9:25 PST). I hurried up and got it out dried it off as fast as I could. It was working fine until now. It keeps popping up "charging not supported on this device" and also I just found out the sound isn't working! Now I can't even listen to all the money I spent on my songs. Is there anything to help this? I was thinking I can back it up on iTunes? Would that help? I don't know I just need major help please.
