I dropped my iphone 5 in the water
OK so i've made the worst and stupidest move ever. My phone was in the pocket and i forgot that i have my phone with me. And it kinda drop in the toilet bowl. I've put my phone 8 hours in the rice bag. And then when i came back from school, i took it out and try to turn it on and charge it. After a few minutes, it showed the plug in itunes symbol so i plug it in and it ask me to restore. I did restore my iphone. BUT i couldn't activate my phone because i have no sim card. The screen was messed up it looks like it has a water it in… I turn it off and put it in the rice bag(2-3 hours) again until i get my sim card back… Then now I tried to turn it on, it shows black screen! But i can hear the noise of my phone! Like the screenshot sound. But the screen is the problem. I'm like 14 and i can't go out to fix it. My mom and dad would srsly kill me if i told them i dropped my phone! And i can't afford to buy a new one or the warranty thing… Any idea what to do? I really need help right now…
You still have warranty? Then go to the shop with it, they give you new phone.
You don't have warranty? Then go cry in a corner or something…
Be more careful with the replacement.
IPhone sucks. Android phone wouldh ave made the toilet explode and survived themselves.
Dude i don't think you will get you phone back or replace because the phone was dropped by you it might be accidentally or purposely, if you have warranty paper but still it will be worthless because there's no warranty for the electronic item which fall in the water
8 hours? Lol Try 3 days. Take it to an apple store, no messageboard will magically fix water damage.
Try the rice again.
Tell your parents, see what they will do, about the problem of the iPhone.
Have an older phone? Switch to it. (as you have no warranty, At least that is how you have made it sound)
By the way Android is way better then iPhone, you have more freedom with the phone itself and I think it works better and is a little safer from damage.
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
- I dropped my iPhone in water - 3 I just dropped my phone in water about a minute ago(it's 9:25 PST). I hurried up and got it out dried it off as fast as I could. It was working fine until now. It keeps popping up "charging not supported on this device" and also I just found out the sound isn't working! Now I can't even listen to all the money I spent on my songs. Is there anything to help this? I was thinking I can back it up on iTunes? Would that help? I don't know I just need major help please.
- I dropped my iphone in water and it won't turn on? I dropped my iphone in the toilet about 3 hours ago and right after i picked it up from the water, i put it in rice. The phone turned off by itself and about a few minutes ago i went to check and my phone was hot. So i'm wondering if i should keep it in the rice or do something else?
