I dropped my iPhone in water, what do I do?
I took it out immediately and put in a sealed container of uncooked rice but when I went to check on it I noticed the flash was on but the screen and buttons were unresponsive. I let the battery die while keeping it in rice. Its been in the rice for two days now, and it is still unresponsive. There isn't eben a red battery icon when I hold down the power button. Is there anything else I can do or any further steps I need to take to save my phone?

Step 1: Dry the phone as much as you can!
Step 2. Get a little twig or a tooth picker wrap a thin layer of a napkin on the toothpick/twig and insert it into the head phone slot try you BEST to dry the head phone slot!
Step 3. Take out the batterie (Its usually on the back)
Step 4. Dry the batterie as much as you can!
Step 5. Put the batterie and the phone SEPRET in the freezer.
Step 6.leave the batterie and the phone in the freezer for atleast 3 days.
Step 7. After 3 days if the phone does not work… WELL TIME TO GET A NEW PHONE!

What you should have done was turn it off immediately because electricity and water will make it short out. Keep it in the rice for around a week and a half and keep it in the sun while you do that. Also use compressed air and spray all the nooks and crannies. DO NOT turn on the phone until you have left it in the rice and sun.

- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
