If you buy one that is unlocked (not on contract)
it is more expensive than the cheap deals you can get…

that being said, most locked phones can be unlocked, but you might lose warranty

Will my T-Mobile iPhone 5 work in Spain? I'm traveling to Spain next month and will more than likely be bringing along my iPhone 5 for the trip for use as a camera/iPod/etc. And was wondering if it would be possible to use it for texts, calls, and data as well? If so would this cost extra, or would there be a way to get it for free?

I'm from Australia and i'm going to Spain soon, and I'm just wondering if my iphone 3gs will work in Spain on the Spain network if I get a prepaid Spain simcard, do I just take out my Aussie sim and put the Spain one in, will it work? Also, are there any good phone deals for prepaid simcards that has a lot of credit (I need data cos I'll be using Viber to ring home) and enough to last me 2 1/2 weeks that I'm in Spain without being too expensive.
