I've reset my iPhone 3GS, is it definitely clear?

I reset my iPhone 3GS by going into settings, reset, erase all content, but I want to be sure everything is off it before I give it away. It's really important messages, contacts etc. Are DEFINITELY erased from the phone, by resetting it is it 100% clear?

Yeap once you reset then all information on the cell phone is completely erase. You should be able to sell or give away your cell phone without worrying your information is stored on it.

If you factory reset it I can guarantee you that wipes everything. Unless you put it in the hands of the worlds greatest hackers working with the highest part of the government they might be able to get into previous stuff but honestly, the odds of that is astranomical not to mention your information wouldn't be worth that much would it? Unless your involved with UFO CONSPIRACIES! LOL

If you signed off of icloud and then did an erase all content and settings and did not sign back into icloud on the phone it is fine.

I reset it to the factory settings and was planning on taking it in to Tmobile to have it hooked up. My problem is i can't get in to any settings or anything now since it was restored. The only thing on the screen is the unlock slider and once you do that it just says emergency call and the little i symbol with the IMEI number. Can I unlock it from here somehow so I can use it?
