What my friend did is just contact your provider, in your case sprint, that you need a code to unlock your iphone. The only thing they check is whether you still on a contract or not. If yes, you may have to charge you for breaking the contract, it depends on how many months you have left. If no, you'll be fine. They'll help, good luck!
