If I enable LTE on my iphone, does it use up a lot of data? - 1

The actual ammount of data does not change. For example, let's say you look at a website that requires 500kb of data to load. This would be no different on a 3G connection, it would just take longer to load. The only thing you have to be mindful of is that if you spend less time loading, you can end up using twice as much data in the same ammount of time compared to a 3G connection, but the actual ammount of data does not change.

LTE is data, so it would use up as much as you use as well as background data. The main difference in the various data connections is speed.

  • Does LTE use more data than 3G? I've already reached my data limit. This has happened in the past but not this quickly, I've noticed on the top left corner of my iPhone it says "Verizon LTE" if I disable that it will say "Verizon 3G" will I not use all of my data so quickly if I disable LTE and use 3G?
  • IPhone 5, 4G(HSPA). Enable LTE option? I own a xperia z before, and it has connected to 4G (HSPA). When i used my iPhone. It only displays 3G. But according to my research it will display to 4G when connected to HSPA. I see the "Enable LTE" option under Cellular Data and it is turned OFF. Should i turn it on to get the 4G(HSPA) signal?
  • If i use LTE a lot, will it slow down? I have an iphone 5 and i use LTE alot and some people say that if i use LTE a lot, it will slow down. Recently i'm having an issue about my iphone being slow even when i'm on LTE. So i'm really worried.
  • I use up a lot of my iphone 4 data 2 days ago i got an alert saying i used up 51% & i just got another alert today saying i used 75%. The data is shared between my dad and my stepmother and they barely use it. I keep my Wi-Fi on when i'm at home but it still uses up the data, somebody suggested to turn off " cellular data ", what's that going to do?
