and if my iphone5 is factory unlocked by rogers in Canada and works in usa it will work will all carriers in usa right?
what is the difference between gsm network in usa and cdma? If my iphone is unlocked can't I use Verizon which runs on cdma and also att which runs on gsm if I wanted to switch?

I had the same problem, most phone companies will not let you use another phone from another company.
It's all about trial and error; just going to have to look around.
