If my iphone is connected to Wi-Fi, will facetime use the data plan?

No, in the top left corner of your screen if it says 3G or whatever, you're using the data you're paying for. If it says Wi-Fi and has the little Wi-Fi symbol, you're on Wi-Fi and you're not using your data plan no matter what you're doing that requires Wi-Fi. If you're not sure call Verizon or talk to a representative on the website. Hope i helped.

- IPhone will only send messages over data plan, even when connected to Wi-Fi? So all messages I send are automatically charged to my data plan, even though I'm connected to a strong Wi-Fi connection. I only have limited texting, so you can see my problem. The iPhone is 4th gen, not sure what iOS version.
- If I use personal hotspot on iPhone, will it use my Wi-Fi or data plan? There are 2 computers in my house. One of them won't connect to the router. So I figure while my iPhone has Wi-Fi access, I can turn on personal hotspot and make the computer connect to the iPhones personal hotspot
- If i'm connected to Wi-Fi, will that still count as using my data plan? I have an iPhone 4s, with Verizon Wirless, and i'm wondering if using Wi-Fi counts as using your data?
