Ios 8 download about 40 hours remaining?
I've been trying to update my iphone 5 to the new ios 8, but after clicking download and install on my phone the time remaining changes between 25 and 60 hours when I check the update screen. I have the space requirements and connecting to iTunes does not help, can anyone help me on this one please? It's been all day that the download has not moved very much
Makes sense. It's a huge update. You are talking about a 5GB update. Yeah, that will take a long time, especially for downloading something on a cell phone.
It means that your internet connection is very poor and it probably won't ever download unless you get better internet
This will be because of your Internet Bandwidth. The more bandwidth you have, and the faster your internet is, the quicker this will download. However, there may also be issues with the Apple Servers at this moment of time, from such high traffic.
If you would like to check your internet speed I would suggest using Ookla Speed Test. There's an application on the App Store for iPhones. But cancel the download before doing so.
