Iphone 3GS technical support
I have had my IPhone 3GS for a couple of years now. It is not activated as a phone, so I use it as an Ipod touch. MY phone screen is pretty badly cracked, and a tiny piece in the corner shows through. I was planning to et the screen replaced in the next month. The phone works perfectly fine as it is. LASt night I was on my phone and the screen suddenly turned completely white! I pressed the top power button and the phone went black and made that signature noise. I pressed the center Home button to open my phone, an it was still completely white. I let my phone rest over night (not on the charger) and this morning it was fine. I texted a few people, went on Instagram, and then it happened again. I have it on a charger now… What is going on? IS this a problem with the screen (because its cracked and stuff) or is this a problem that is internal to the phone? If I go and get my phone screen replaced, will it be a waste of time and money, or will it fix this problem? MY warrantee has LONG expired.
You may honestly need a new phone. Try to hold the power button and home button. Then release the power button and continue holding the home button for about ten seconds until the phone restarts. But you've probably damaged the screen I have seen this a few times however and it is very expensive to fix.
- Technical support - using Iphone/Ipad as a webcam? Is it possible for someone to use a webcam on their computer/laptop and the receiver be able to use their Ipad/Iphone camera? I thought that it may be possible to use a hotmail account as my hotmail account is linked with my Iphone/Ipad.
- My bricked iPhone won't support a charge. It was previously non-tetheredly jailbroken? It's a 16gb iPhone 3gs. I jailbroke it but it was untethered so it became bricked. It started with not charging on the computer and then not charging on the wall charger and then eventually not holding a charge.
- IPhone 5 - Technical difficulty (software update)? I have an iPhone 5 and it was telling me I need a software update, so I began the update last night but my phone has frozen! It's just a plain black screen with the Apple logo in the middle of it, and the loading bar below it. It's been frozen like this for 15 hours. I thought I'd just unplug it and allow it to die, but it's taking so long! I held down on the 'off' button for a whole minute and it wouldn't turn off, and I don't know what else I can do!
- Iphone 4s technical assistance? Just got a used 4s that will not open the sim tray, opened it up turns out there's no mechanism to open the tray. When I do put a sim in it has no bars and says 'searching… '. Tried to set activate it with Wi-Fi it can't access the server and with itunes it simply says sorry it can't activate my phone at this time. Anyone else have this problem and a solution? I've already tried updating the ios and restoring to factory settings.
