IPhone 4 Broken Power Button?

I bought an iPhone off these kids the other day and they stole it. The iPhone has a 4 number pass code on it. I need to put it in DFU mode in order to restore it. But I'm unable to because the power button is broken. I've been on google and YouTube for hours trying to look up a fix on how to fix it by jamming papers and pins and such not in them… If anyone has an answer to this much appreciated.

Well you could bring it to apple and say its yours and just say you forgot your password

So my power button is broken and i'm on assistive touch but the problem with assistive touch is that to get to the power button i have to press the dot then a sub menu then the lock so to cancel an incoming call i have to press six times and it's kinda annoying, so is there a shortcut where i can cancel the calls by one or two touches can i change the function of other buttons to make it cancel the call?

  • IPhone 4s screen black and power button broken My iPhone has went fully black and won't turn on again. I know that to turn it back on you need to hold down the power and home button, but my power button is broken and I have been using assertive touch as a substitute for the power button. Does anyone know how to turn on my iPhone without using the power button? Btw I have already tried plugging it in the the computer and into the wall.
