IPHONE 4 headphone jack problem?

So i bought an iphone 4 today. And it is doing the same thing my previous 3gs Was doing. When i plug in any pair of headphones There's volume coming from 1 ear. I have to pull the plug out a little for sound to work in both ears. But All day today the headphones were working perfectly as they should, But now it is having the problem. How can i fix this?

Added (1). And it is not the headphones. I've tried on serveral pair. Do you think it could be a software problem? It was working fine till i took the old back up and put on it my new phone.

The wiring in some sets of headphones breaks very easily, most of my headphones i have to throw away because the wiring in one side isn't connected correctly.

Its the headphones. Get a better pair

  • What is the little hole besides the headphone jack on the iphone 4? Okay i have heard people with att that has an iphone say that if they stick a pin in the hole that a dim card tray will pop out. But my iphone is with sprint so i thought they didn't have sim cards so what will happen if i hit the button. * i'm not trolling this is my first time having anything from apple i'm a android person. * please no smart remarks!
  • Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.
  • Problem with the headphone jack in my iPhone 6? Whenever I'm wearing my headphone while walking (or basically any type of fast movement) the music will get all staticy for a few seconds. At first I thought my Apple headphones were wearing out but I got a new pair and the same thing is happening. Is there any way I can take care of this at home rather than sending it in to get fixed?
  • Is my iPhone the cause of my headphone jack breaking? So I have an iPhone 4S and I was using these headphones for about a year and all the sudden the jack you plug in to the phone, bent. It wouldn't work anymore. I don't know how this happened, it may not have been my iPhone. However, now I have a new pair of headphones and I just want to make sure it isn't my phone doing this, could it be my phone or is that very unlikely?
