IPhone 4 no sound but rings after getting wet?
I dropped my iPhone 4 into water the other day, after drying it everything works except the sound but when I ring the phone it plays the sound of the ring tone & when on a call I can put it on load speaker, hear the other person & they can hear me? BUT I can't play music the volume button isn't even there. When I unlock it it sometimes makes the unlocking noise but when I go to music the volume control is there but then goes straight away?

It's forked. If you have insurance on it claim on it, if you don't then look around and try and find some repair quotes.
That exact same thing happened to me the only time it made a noise was when someone phoned i took it to the apple shop n they said it was some sort of format problem n told me to go home n reset the whole fone to factory which as you would imagin wouldnt work so i phoned back up and had to get the fone replaced thank god it was insured!
- Will rice save my iphone after getting wet? My iphone was accidentally dropped in a toilet bowl and i immediately picked it up for just a few second. Then i turned it off. Then i wiped if off and even gently shaking it to try to free any trapped water inside. After 10mins i turned my iphone on and i can hardly swipe and touch it, i tried to restart it until i decided to just shut if off and soaked in in a bag of rice. I don't know if it's effective.
- Will or work if I put my iPhone in a rice bowl after a month of it getting wet? About a month ago my phone got sweat on the screen or it was too humid and hot and so the screen turned white with vertical lines on it but after 10 minutes it would go back to normal and now it does the same thing every morning. Will it still work to put it in a rice bowl?
- When I sing I sound good in my head but on recording it doesn't sound as good? I understand why this is but I want to know if it is because my iPhone recording quality isn't good. If not how do I actually listen to how others hear me sing.
- Something wrong with iphone five after getting wet? My iPhone is finally back to normal after dropping my phone in the you know what. I soaked it in rice, and used the vac but now that its on i can't do anything and the corner that usually says verizon and stuff now says searching. Also the date says its december thirty first but its july twenty- second. Any help?
