IPhone 4 storage and iOS7 problem?

Okay, so I have the iPhone 4, 8GB. With the new OS coming out, and especially with the new interface, I obviously wanted it. So I literally had to delete every single app, all my music, and I only have like 300 MB of picture left. That BARELY got me to the 2.9 GBs needed. So I guess my real question is, how come my iPhone said I'm using 3.5 GB, when all my apps are deleted? I deleted my history, cookies, and cache. I deleted all my messages, and even some contacts I don't use just in case that helped. I want to know how to free up space because that seems obscene to not be able use half the data I should have. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the data that I don't even know where it is, and be able to free up space on my phone?

Its a lot easier just to update through iTunes on the computer, it will download the update file to your computer so you won't have to delete anything.

  • What to do about my iphone storage saying I'm using up way more photo storage than I actually am? My storage says I have 132 photos that's using up most of my storage; almost 3 GB. I have only 52 photos and 15 videos in my phone. It seems like it may be using storage from pictures I deleted, but apparently they're still using space? ? Has this happened to anyone else. I've taken my phone to an apple store, and I didn't get any answers.

  • On the I cloud on the Iphone what does total storage and available storage mean? Basically it says total storage 5gb and availible storage 5 gb. Does that mean there's already 5 gb of files on the Icloud?
  • IPhone storage full but iCloud storage not? I'm in the Navy and I'm going on deployment soon so, I'm racking up on stuff like movies and music so I won't be bored during deployment… I'm 3 seasons in on downloading stuff on Netflix and it says my storage is full… I deleted a lot of useless apps and music already and I downloaded a few more then it happened again… I see my iCloud storage is very empty but my phone storage is too full… How can I fix this.
