IPhone 4 won't update to iOS 6?

About an hour ago, I attempted to update my iPhone. But it's STILL stuck on the "estimated time remaining" and the bar has not loaded at all. I don't know what to do, the update has definitely started, it's just stuck and not finishing? And my phone is not jailbroken or tampered in any way. It's just a normal iPhone.

Mine doesn't even show that I have a software update available… Just let it finish it's job. Take a nap or something

I was able to install it using the software update section on my iPhone itself it took a while but it did finally managed to download and install onto my phone. Or you could try to do it via iTunes by opening iTunes, syncing your iPhone to it and clicking on the check for update (unless it already prompts you to install the iOS6 update) then wait for the download and installation process to be completed.

It could be because you're going to exceed your data allowance. The update file is about 800MB. The easiiest and cheapest thing to do is go somewhere that has unlimited free Wi-Fi and resume the update using their connection

  • Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on. On the screen it is black with the 'charge symbol' as if it were low on battery and an iTunes symbol. I have tried turning my phone off and on, but of course it didn't respond.
  • New iOS 6 update, find my iPhone update? I don't like the new find my iPhone update is there a way to change back to the old find my iPhone but keep the new update? It's not showing locations like it used to and won't even how me major boroughs like Croydon. Streets are difficult to see, much smaller picture. General *** compared to the older version.
  • Is the IOS UPDATE 11.2.2 update The one that is supposed to slow down the older Apple Phones? If this is the one, I don't want that. I have an IPhone 6s+.
  • Is the iOS 6.1 update on iPhone 3 safe to update? On my first iPhone there were problems, and the update didn't help it wiped out everything and among other things had to get a new iPhone. The iPhone I have now works, so should I risk this update? It's a 3GS.
