Iphone 4s dropped in water, now all works except screen?
This Monday my iphone 4s fell into the toilet at work, it was only there for like two seconds I reacted very quickly and took it out. I pressed the home button and the screen was fine, but it flashed a few times and then turned black. I freaked out, dried it, blew into the holes of the phone, my coworker took my sim card out (we couldn't get the phone completely disassembled. So I get home (it's pretty dry by the way), and I leave it in a bag of rice for 36 hours. When I come home today, I tried turning the phone on (with the sim card in). And nothing… I plugged it into the wall charger. Nothing… I go to the computer and plug it in there… Nothing. I lost hope… I leave it in though. Two minutes later I hear the phone make a noise (the noise it makes when it's charging). And iTunes starts trying to read the phone! It takes a while. Finally it says it can't read it… But then my phone starts vibrating and making notification noises and my alarm clock is going off. I slide the phone like I normally would to turn it off and it worked! I even put in my password with the screen all black. My computer now reads it fine and I'm still getting texts and stuff. But my screen is still completely black! I don't have any insurance on this phone I got it more than a year ago. Anybody know what to do?
You could try replacing the screen or the digitiser
It's hard to know what's broken! Sometimes you can spend more fixing it, than buying a new one
You could consider sending it into a shop that could asses it and work out the problem? Since the motherboard could have blown? The graphics card? The digitiser? We don't know!
Plus these are pretty expensive parts!
Be more careful with the replacement.
I'm sure no water can get in within 2 seconds. Lol

- What do i do if i dropped my iPhone in water and in under 24 hrs it still works? - Wet IPhone works except for mic & back camara? I dropped my iphone in water. I set it in rice for four days. I refuse to pay around $300 bucks for a new replacement seeing at the phone works. I can send & reply texts, watch videos, listen to music & check all apps except for the back camera & microphone. Can i get Best Buy to fix it? I can't see why Apple can't fix iphones. I suppose thats how they make more money. What should i do?
- Internet works perfectly on other devices except my iphone and macbook? Its been like this for like 3 days. The Wi-Fi works fine with any other devices except my iphone and macbook? Its so slow and sometimes i didn't work at all i have to turn on and off the Wi-Fi from my iphone & macbook so it can connect again but its super slow and i don't know what to do because its really getting in my way of getting my stuff done
- I dropped my iPhone in water and now the screen won't turn on what should i do? It seems like the phone is still working because it still makes noise when I touch the buttons and my alarm still went off this morning but the screen is completely black. It is in rice now but is that still the best solution if everything is working except my screen? And I know I'm supposed to turn it off but I can't because the screen won't work.
