IPhone 4s dropped in water, now says?

So yesterday I dropped my iPhone 4s in the toilet, and picked it up really quickly before it got the chance to soak in all the way through my phone. I immediately took off the case/took out the sim and started shaking it to get the water out. I hit it against my hand and felt the water come out. I blew dry it on not heat but cool air, and blew my breath in the openings in the phone where water may have seeped in. I then put it in rice at 1 in the afternoon yesterday and the flash has been on ever since then. I just now took it out of the rice and now it is saying it has been locked for 23 million minutes. It only turns on when I plug it in, and then that message pops up. Once I unplug it, it goes dead again. What should I do? I really don't have the money to bring it to Apple or find a replacement. Can someone please tell me! I'm worried sick.

Btw, it's currently plugged into my computer but is taking FOREVER to turn on, and once the apple logo pops up on the screen, it goes black again and says that it is charging.
Also, when it used to turn on, I can see water still trapped in the screen.

I WOULD APPRECIATE All Help! Please!

Be more careful with the replacement.

Turn off the phone then put it back in the rice for another 24 hours, then don't keep your next phone in your back pocket again. I hear the iPhone 5S is nice, ask for it for Christmas from your parents.

Something in there has shorted out. I recommend leaving it alone and powered off for at least 2 days if not 3. Then connect it to the computer and force recovery mode. Try to back it up first if possible. This will erase your phone. If that does not work the phone is done.

Turn off and keep on storing in a box with dry rice for twenty four hours and then leave it sit for a couple of days. This should allow you iPhone to dry out and you can then recharge it to see if it will work. If it doesn't work after doing that, take it to your local Apple Genius bar so they can remove and dry the battery to see if they can fix it.

  • I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
  • I dropped my iPhone in water and now the screen won't turn on what should i do? It seems like the phone is still working because it still makes noise when I touch the buttons and my alarm still went off this morning but the screen is completely black. It is in rice now but is that still the best solution if everything is working except my screen? And I know I'm supposed to turn it off but I can't because the screen won't work.
  • I dropped my iphone in water and now it won't turn on? I dropped my Iphone 4 In the water, I tried to turn it on by pressing both the home and the power button at the same time. The apple loggo started to glow but then it turned off and now I can't turn it on again. Is there any way I can make it work again or should I just buy a new one?
  • I dropped my iPhone in some water and now the sound won't work? I dropped my iPhone in water, and the sound is sorta malfunctioning. The iPhone still works, and it still vibrates, and I can listen to voicemail, ect. But I can't use sound when I'm playing games or listening to music. I've tried some things and I can get it two work for a couple of seconds but its driving me crazy. Any suggestions?
