Iphone 4s Lock Button Stuck?
I just got a "like new" Iphone 4S yesterday from a friend of my aunt's. Everything works as it is supposed to, but the lock button seems to be "stuck." I can still use it, it's just Really hard to push down the button to lock and unlock. I'm definitely not a person who is good with their hands when it comes to taking things apart, so I was wondering if there were any EASY fixes to this problem without having to take it to the Verizon or Apple store?
I have the same problem with my iPod 5, and I don't know how to fix it. What I suggest you do is go to settings/general/accessibility and turn assistive touch on. This will add an icon to your screen that can be moved around freely, and when tapped, opens a tab with many options like rotate screen, volume up/down, and home. I use this temporarily until I get my ipod fixed. It might take a while to get used to it.
Occurred with my xperia x8 too ( mine becamed sensitive except being hard like yours, button was been hitted) now after two month it fixed by it self, I don't know how.
So you can wait to see how's your luck! Or take it to a repair shop
No their isn't. I had the same problem as you and since my phone was under warranty( apple has 1 year limited warranty on all apple branded products), I took it to the apple store and they got me a NEW iphone 4s. If it is not in warranty, you have to pay 169$. If you do not have any apple store close to you, they will ship you a empty box and you just have to ship it back to apple and they will replace the phone for you. I can check your warranty status just by giving you serial number to me. Go into SETTINGS and then press GENERAL and then ABOUT and then scrolle down for SERIAL NUMBER.
- Stuck iPhone 4 lock button! Stuck/Stripped screws Okay so, I've had this stupid panda case on my phone and it jammed my lock button. It still works if you push super hard from the side, but no clicking sound. I saw how to fix it by opening my phone up but the screws won't come out no matter what! I tried a screwdriver alone, with duct tape, rubber band, double sided tape, everything! I don't have a warranty on my phone, and I'm looking for a super inexpensive (>$5) way to fix it, any ideas?
