IPhone 5 forgot password (with iOS 7)?
Yes, this is very stupid as we all know. Some info about my iPhone 5:
-Never hacked or jailbroken
-Bought in June 2013
Today my friends tried to break into my iPhone and eventually they figured it out after a few hints from me. Once they left, I decided to change my passcode. I locked my phone and then an hour later tried to unlock it, but no luck! It has been disabled for up to an hour (iOS 7 doesn't show amount of time remaining when disabled) but it went back to disabling for only 1 minute and I have had many tries to get the passcode.
After looking online for a while, I found that restoring the iPhone should do the trick. I plugged the phone into my computer but it says that in order to restore, I need to "Turn off Find My iPhone; go to iCloud settings on your iPhone and turn off Find My iPhone before restoring" but I can't get into my phone.
If you're still reading this (and I greatly appreciate the fact that you still are), do you have any ideas to fix this? I need my phone for school tomorrow and my parents are not very happy. And since it is a Sunday night, I don't think my Verizon retailer and/or Apple retailer are still open. Any tips?
It happened with my old ipod, just plug it into your computer, go to itunes, and hit restore. It might take a little bit but will fix it
You will have to install/update to the latest version of itunes on your computer (11.1) and run recovery mode: http://support.apple.com/.../kb/HT1808
Go to icloud.com sign in and turn off find my phone to continue restore.
- What do i do if i forgot my iphone password? Okay so i was messing around on the settings on my iphone 3g and i set a password which uses the keyboard so i set a pass word then decided that i should change it back and when it asks to re enter the password it says its wrong! The next time is 1 hour so please help! They password was "beyonce" if you must know! How could i have spelt it wrong twice when setting it the first time! Do i need to restore it? And will i lose some of my photos?
- IPhone 5 forgot password I I got an iPhone 5 a few hours ago and forgot the password. I connected my phone with iTunes and it is restoring. It says it will take TWO hours to restore. The time isn't the problem, I don't care how long I wait as long as the problem is solved. But what I wanted to know, is has anyone had this problem? Like having to wait so long? And if so, did it work? Because I was reading reviews and people said it got stuck or etc. Has anyone been in this situation?
- IPhone 4S IOS 7.0.6 or 7.1. I forgot my phone password and blocked it, then I restored it? It's now asking for my iCloud password (which i don't know) to activate the phone. I've got the SIM card is in it. I've tried to bypass it one the computer but when I put is into DFU mode for the first step it says ''Ignoring unsupported device UNSUPPORTED'' in the java window. What else can I do so I can use my iPhone?
- I set an iPhone restrictions password on my phone, but forgot it? My younger nephew was borrowing my phone for the week, so I turned restrictions on. But, I forgot the password. I have 9 failed attempts, what happens if I get to 10? I know the phone will be wiped, but does that mean everything will be put to factory settings, or that I can't use my phone at all, or I won't be able to guess the password anymore? Sidenote- Non-jail broken iPhone 3GS, iOS 6.0.1. And I don't own a computer and I can't restore it from one anyway.
