IPhone 5 Lock button not working, and i want to fix it myself?
So as the title suggest, i want to fix this problem my self. My question is, do i have to replace the flex cable that connects the volume/mute/and lock button, or just the physical lock button? The mute and volume work perfectly fine and i have no issue with it. The lock button simply doesn't work, before it took multiple presses jut to get the phone to lock, now it just doesn't lock at all. But the physical button does go down making the clicking sound.
So, do i have to replace the entire flex cable?

I don't think anyone knows that answer to that. I do know that Apple wouldn't even fix it though, they'd give you a new iPhone 5. I'd suggest taking it to an Apple Store. They replaced my iPhone, for free, with the same problem.

- My home button and lock button don't work on my iphone 4 Okay so about 2 weeks ago my lock button stopped working and I don't know why so I went to mts store and they said to go to the apple store and i haven't been able to go yet and then tonight I was on my phone then I went to eat dinner so i put it in my sweater pocket then after dinner i took my phone out and it wan't responding! Is there anything I can do right now other than going to an apple genius? It's like 9 at night!

Besides the buttons my iPhone is in perfect condition. My phone carrier is straight talk, from Walmart. They don't offer insurance or a warranty or anything like that. So I was wondering if it was possible to replace these buttons?
