Iphone 5 - need some reviews about it?

I have a lg samsung android phone.
considering switchign to a iphone 5… Please advise on the pros and cons of iphone 5 and is there any specific drawback or issu e on iphone 5 that i should concerned about.

Cons:
-no swype, a typing featuring I love and miss from my previous phone, android Evo. My fat fingers will constantly press two letters on the screen keyboard of the iPhone 5. Auto correct sometimes helps. I compromise with the voice to text feature which is surprisingly reliable and accurate.
-if the phone software freezes, you are kinda of screwed. With android, pop the battery out and in and power in. I've had my phone stuck twice. Pressing the power button to the home button, it just remains stuck until almost 5 minutes later where it will reboot on its own.

Pros:
-size is perfect for my pocket and tool pouch.
-fast processing speed
-long battery life and a year and half later, still going strong.
-GPS with google maps is excellent, dependable. Apple Maps sucks.
-holds its own the more apps you put on it. My prior android phone speed went down with each new app I added.

My comparisons are based on the android Evo from Sprint versus the iPhone 5 with Verizon.

Hiya. My dad bought an iphone 5 and has had a number of problems with it. 1.) The port for the lightning connector broke. Apple said they wouldn't fix it when and instead offered a £200 replacement. What a joke! I looked on ebay and you can get a new lightning port for less than £5. We all know apple would make you pay the £200. Then actually fix the phone for about £4/3 worth (I.e costing them nothing), then sell it for £300 as a refurbished iphone! Where do you think they come from? So my dad is getting it fixed at a local phone repair shop for less then £7:) 2.) The lightning connectors. We have been though about 3 in 2 months and they cost £15 each! The lightning connector is rubbish. Full stop. Overall he said the actual phone is decent and the camera is good however the cost of it is ridiculous, it's not worth £600. Apple customer service is rubbish and money-grabbing. He didn't like the way apple are always trying to sell you stuff at ridiculous prices through their physical store, itunes, and the app store. He has had no major software problems however it did crash once for no apparent reason. Overall, mine and his opinion of it is 2/1 star - would have been better if the price of everything was lowered substantially and customer service was improved.

A phone which I would really, really highly recommend is my current phone… It has a processor that is nearly twice as powerful than both the iphone 5/5s (2.26 GHz compared to 1.3Ghz), a screen that is larger and has almost twice the ppi of iphones 'retina display' of 445 ppi compared to 336 ppi on both iphone 5 models, the phone's screen size is 5 inches compared to 4.7 inches on the iphone. It runs the latest version of android (4.4.4 kitkat, soon to get final-release L) + the native version of google now. No other phone has the google now launcher set as default… Meaning ''ok google'' can be used on any screen. It gets the android updates months/years before any other android phone. It's the weapon of choice for google android software engineers and developers across the globe. It's one of a few elite, developer-level phones that run stock, pure android and has an unprecedented level of customisation (roms, kernals, recoveries, launchers, bootloaders, keyboards, widgets, system-apps, ui. This list stretches on for miles.). It has a highly under-rated 8mp camera, which is the best camera I have ever used on a phone to this date. The main reason I recommend this phone than any other phone is because of the price. £250 cheaper than the 5/5s unlocked (based off Google play store and apple store prices). Meaning you could also buy a laptop to go with this… Machine (monster, whatever you want to call it!) to modify roms, system-apps etc. All for the price of 1 iphone 5s.

The designer -- Google
The manufacturer -- LG
Latest Android version -- 4.4.4 kitkat
The name -- Nexus 5.

It was a no-brainer for me, what about you?

  • Windows 8 Nokia Lumia 920 - reviews please? I currently own an iPhone 4S and have been with Apple for many years now starting with the 3GS. I want a change due to ridiculous price increases and just wanting something completely different. I'm interested in the Nokia Lumia 920 Windows 8 phone. Can anybody offer any reviews on this? I'm nervous to completely change my mobile after so many years!
  • Should I buy the iphone 5c? Any reviews? I found a used refurbished one online for $169, is that a good price or should I wait it out for it till there's a cheaper one? Do you recommend I get it? What do you think of it?
  • REVIEWS ON THE IPHONE 4 Please? I want to know what the IPhone 4 is like for people. Please if you have had an IPhone in the past please tell me what your experience was like. So i can balance out if i should get one or not.
