Iphone 5 screen doesn't turn on?
Oookay so 6 months ago i dropped my phone in the water (i did put it in a bag of rice) and i thought it was dead so i didn't bother doing anything… But recently i felt like charging my phone and stuff and turns out it still work… Except the screen is black and nothing came on. I can still hear the charger noise, it still vibrates when i toggled the mute button and my itunes detected my iphone. So i was wondering what can i do other than the hard reset bcs i alrdy tried that and it didn't work. Ok thanks in advance bye.
Hard reset will have no affect. Your phone's hardware is damaged. The only thing you can do is buy a new phone. I recommend a Galaxy S5. (it's literally waterproof.)
I think something is damaged in your iPhone and you need to contact with some expert for repairing.
I have done the same thing 2 weeks ago! After looking through the internet off what I can do I decided just to buy a new phone! You can take the phone apart and use rubbing alcohol on parts to remove any lasting water particles or rust however this will void your warranty. Or you can try to get a new screen replacement but that would cost you and may not even work. What I did was as stated above and bought a Galaxy S5! Best thing I have done! I swapped my broken Iphone 5 for £70 with phones 4 you and took out a contract for Galaxy S5
