IPhone 6 Plus, How to restore?
MY iPHONE 6 pLUS GOT DISABLED 2DAYS AGO SUDDENLY POBABLY DUE TO FREQUENT CHANGES OF PASSCODE AND THUMB SAN KEY BY MY GRAND CHILDERN. HOW CAN I RESTORE WITHOUT PASSWORDS.
Realize when caps lock is on and not
You can't. That's what passwords are for. BTW, passcodes are case-sensitive.
If it's just the password lock then you can enter DFU mode and restore using iTunes
Note: You will lose all data unless you previously did a backup via iTunes or iCloud
To enter DFU mode:
- Plug your device into your computer with a USB cable.
- Turn off the device.
- Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
- Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.
- Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.
- After about 15 seconds you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.
Once iTunes says you're in Recovery Mode, simply press restore. This will ignore the passcode and restore it
- When you restore an iphone from itunes backup does it restore messages? I need to restore my iPhone 4S in iTunes, will I lose my messages or will it leave the messages from my most recent back up?
- What is the difference between the iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 Plus, the iPhone 6s, and the iPhone 6s plus? I just now found out that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s were two different phones so that makes for 2 other new phones I learned about what are the differences? I'm thinking of switching from my Samsung 6 to an iPhone 6.
- If you disabled FindMyiPhone to restore your device, will the app be enabled again after the restore? A few weeks ago I upgraded to the iPhone SE and I restored the data from my iPhone 4s onto it. (I had to disable FindMyiPhone in the process). Little did I know that it would be lost/stolen 2 weeks later. Really need to know if FindMyiPhone would be enabled because I want to know if I still have any hope at all finding it. Thanks. I tried the app already… Says it's offline. Been waiting since.
- If I restore my iPhone will it restore other devices using the same apple ID? My mum using the same apple ID as me an is worried that if I restore my phone then it will delete all of her photos and stuff to. Our phones are kind of linked through the ID but that's all.
