IPhone and iMessage service?
So, I have an iPhone 4. Since the battery sucks, I usually have the internet and the iMessages disconnected.
But I'm not sure what happpens if other iPhone users send me an iMessage when I have the service turned off. Do I still get them? Even when the internet is on and the iMessage is off?
That shouldn't affect the battery at all, mine is always on and the battery life is great. I haven't' turned imessage off since the day I bought it.
Obviously if you are messaging for 3 or 4 hours it will use battery.
- Using iMessage on iPhone 4 without phone service? A couple months ago my phone had service, but due to it being so expensive, I had to stop paying. After it was shut off, I was still able to text my friends that I messaged before. Is there a way to message other people that use iMessage without phone service?
- Same network, Iphone 5 only receiving Edge service, Iphone 4 receiveing 3g service? Running IOS 6.1.2 on Iphone 5, 6.1 on Iphone 4 Both on O2 Can't get 3g service on iphone 5. Iphone 4 can and they are both in the same room, any ideas why?
- New iPhone won't get service but my older iPhone gets service? I just got a 6s and went to the Verizon store to get my upgrade. I used to have a 5s. My 5s is still getting service and my 6s is not. I turned off cellular data on my 5s and and made sure both data and LTE were working on my 6s but it still isn't working.
- IPhone can't send iMessage to iPod touch user with iMessage? At random times, whenever I try to iMessage my friend who has just a iPod Touch, where you type in the message will say "Text Message" instead of "iMessage." is there a way to fix this so it will always send as a iMessage instead of Text?
