IPod 5 vs iPhone 4? Is it worth it?

I have had an iPod 5 for a while. I use it to listen to music on my way to school, and surf on the internet when I don't have a pc near me. I'm very happy with it. But I can't call with it. I have had an HTC Desire as my cell phone for over 2 years now. But now I need to buy a new phone. I really want an iPhone. (iPhone 4, iPhone 5 is out of my price range) So my question is: Is it worth paying around 500 dollars for an iPhone 4 when I already have an iPod 5?

Get the iphone 4 because in the fall it will still be able to run ios7 and still work perfectly.

You can always download a texting/calling app onto your iPod.It'll be free but the downside is you have to have Wi-Fi (obviously). I use Textfree by Pinger. The app has two speech bubbles and an orange phone in the corner. Just use your iPod instead of buying a whole new phone.

  • Is there an iPod 5 case that makes the iPod look like an iPhone? I hate the curvy shape of the iPod touch. I prefer the boxy iPhone shape. Also, it would be cool if my iPod looked like an iPhone. Is there a case that does this? Where can I get one?
  • Is the iPod touch 5g worth getting or iPhone 4? My friend is thinking of selling me his iPhone 4 without the phone part working for 80 dollars. So it is pretty much a iPod 4g. Or should I buy the iPod 5g for 300$?
