Is it dangerous to unplug an iPhone 5 battery while it's on and charging?
I want to run the iPhone without the battery and I heard that it would not boot up if the battery isn't present. So I was wondering if it was safe to unplug the battery while the phone is still on and plugged in.
Well you can't take the battery out anyhow so that doesn't matter.
Boot up? You don't even need to turn an iphone off, I haven't turned mine off in 2 years. Just flip the corner switch if you want to mute it at night.
- Wouldn't turning off iPhone while charging shorten battery life? They say the iPhone has a battery life of 400 full charge cycles before it starts its decline. Ok here is the thing… A lot of talk on how to save battery life on the iPhone by charging habits such as turning the phone off while charging, airplane mode while charging, turn off Wi-Fi bluetooth etc… But if the phone charges faster… Wouldn't that increase the amount of full charge/discharge cycles and there for decreasing the life of the battery?

I need my phone in less than an hour. Would it be bad if I unplugged it? Will it go back to the default settings like it was or will it screw up my backup?
