Is my IPhone 6 charger port broken?
I have an iPhone 6 plus and I had an old charger which was crap. I woke up my phone was dead while on the charger so I bought a brand new on and it still won't turn on it doesn't even show the icon, anyway if it is broke will Apple charge me, also I'm not.in contact with the person who bought the phone and pays the bill so will they ask me questions like security questions at the store? Please tell me the cost if you think it's broken thanks so much
Get one of the following:
- condensed air (your best friend at the moment.)
- a small q-tip (cut it in half, and put a small amount of rubbing alcohol on the tip.)
- a paper clip. (be cautious using!)
And gently clean the port of your iPhone with it, getting any gunk that may be in there out of it. There are probably hundreds of videos on the Internet with prople doing this, and it may help you. Make sure you check the charging base you are using isn't broken.
If there was stuff in there, you may want to get a protective phone case that'll keep stuff like that out of your charging base.
If that doesn't work, go to the Genius Bar and talk to an Apple Genius or whatever. They'll most likely be able to help.
You might want to google a bit more before you go to the Genius Bar or get your phone replaced though!
Hopefully you can save your phone's data if it does end up needing to be replaced.

- Will my 1 year warranty for iphone 5 cover a broken charging port? I've had my iphone for less then a a year I've had it 6 months and the chargin port is broken the cable still works fine I've tried more then one cable and it is the port will it cover it I didn't break it it's just happened and at first I thought it was the cable then it just kept getting worse
- Why port forwarding on port 80? I have a foscam home security camera and it needs port forwarding on port 80 if I want to use my iphone to view it from outside. Surely enough, it works as soon as I open that port. But isn't port 80 open by default? Else how could I view http websites in the first place. I don't get it. It's already open so why open it again?
- Tissue in iPhone charger port? - 1 It's pushed right Down & it won't come out even with a toothpick, it charges but the charger doesn't go in fully!
- Something wrong with iphone charger port? Around three days ago i had my Iphone sitting next to me. I was eating a bowl of cereal when i accidentally dropped it. Some milk got all over my phone i freaked out and wiped it all of my charger and phone. Then my speaker stopped working on the left side. Now it won't even charge.i've tried a new charger so did something happen to the charger port itself? Help As soon as possible and i don't have it turned on either
