Is there a trade off to using Straight Talk?
So I only get verizon and us cellular signal in my area. I want an iPhone, but we don't have the money to get me a smartphone on contract. I can, however, go with straight talk unlimited for $45/month. I was thinking of the samsung galaxy s showcase, which runs on verizon towers and is 250 for the phone. Would this be a good idea? Its cheap but is it worth it? Anything I should know about for straight talk? I have Wi-Fi at home and school if that makes a difference.
Added (1). Well, since ATT and Tmobile both don't get service in my area, I think that the iphones that work off of the verizon towers are the better deal. And, how is your service with straight talk with a smartphone, from your experience.
You can get a iphone on craigslist for under 200 and you order a sim card off straighttalk.com. You don't have to even unlock the iphone. All you do is put the sim card in the slot and it should start working after you activated your sim card. If you don't want the iphone you can use att or tmobile phones with staighttalk sim cards.
- Using verizon iphone 4 on straight talk? Ok so I know straight talk offers the iPhone now I was wondering if I could use my out of contract iPhone 4 on their network the Walmart associates tell me that the iPhones that you can buy from straight talk come from verizon any ideas?
- Using the iphone 5 with straight Talk? I heard that you could use the iphone 5 with straight Talk. I'm planning to get the 45 unlimited all plan. I have a few questions though. What is the catch? Do you need a credit card? What would happen if stop paying for a month? Will I lose my number? Is the service good? Can I use my Wi-Fi if I don't want to use their Internet?
- Using straight talk service while traveling to puerto rico? Meaning make and receive phone calls?! I have a iphone with [straight talk sim] from walmart inside, will my service would work? The answer is yes, plus 3 megas download speeds, and yes puerto rico is part of the continental usa. What is straight talk for people don't know uses at&t towers I can't believe I need to answer my on question from 5 days ago if you don't know the answer don't say anything.
- Using iphone 3gs with straight talk? Okay I'm confused. I have a straight talk smart phone already but want an iphone so i bought an unlocked 3gs to use. I put my sim card in it thinking that would be all i had to do but it won't work. I can text on it but when i try to use the internet it says it isn't connected to the internet. Do i have to buy a brand new sim card and activate it then? Also i can't get hardly any service, one bar at the most when i would normally have full service. Ugh help!
