Is there a way I can use an iPhone that's logged onto someone else's iCloud?

I recently found an iPhone 5s out in the street perfectly fine but it's logged into the owners iCloud and in order for me to restart it I have to put in that persons password and I've been told that there's no way for me remove that account. So I was wondering if anyone knows if it's safe to use it like that and just add another account or if I can use it some other way?

Correct, as long as the phone is associated with an active account, and once it has been reported lost/stolen, you won't be able to use that phone, on any carrier. So no there's no way around it.

So turn the phone in at an Apple store or the carrier that appears on the SIM card (if it has one), or the carrier that shows up when the phone boots up. And they can get the phone to it's owner in less than a days time if they are local. Now you "MIGHT" luck out when returning the phone, and find an owner that has already replaced their phone, and is willing to do what it takes to unblacklist the phone, so you can use it. But that would be the rare person.

So don't be a D bag and try to keep the phone.

There's no way around that & that's by design.

  • Why is my Facebook account logged onto multiple devices? I was just randomly checking my account settings and was looking at devices that are logged onto my Facebook and it shows multiple devices, all from iphone 7plus which is what I have. This might be a stupid question, but wouldn't it just say iphone 7plus once if my phone is the only one logged onto Facebook? On my account settings, it shows 5 other iPhone 7 plus. Does this mean someone else is using my Facebook? I'm just really confused.
  • Verizon: Can I use an upgrade from someone else on my plan? I have an iPhone 4S and I'm not due for an upgrade until March of next year, but I would like to upgrade to an iPhone 5C. My mom (who is on my plan) has an upgrade available that she doesn't want to use (she does not have a smartphone, just a basic flip phone. I don't know if that matters or not). So I was wondering, am I able to use her upgrade to get a 5C? We have verizon.
  • Put music onto iPhone on someone else's laptop? I'm currently overseas for the year and have my iPhone with me, but not my laptop, and I would like to add some of the music from my friend's laptop onto my phone. Is there a way for me to obtain the songs I want (in a playlist) without all of her music (and apps and photos etc) transferring to my phone, or my music transferring to hers? A step by step tutorial would be so useful as I can't find one that explains it clearly!
  • My iphone is connected to someone else's icloud account? Someone that I knew gave me their iPhone a few months ago because they bought a new one and since she moved away I lost touch with her. A few days ago I thought it would be a good idea to restore the iphone without backing it up (how smart) and now it's not completely activated because the phone is connected to her iCloud account and I have no clue what the log in information is. Is there any way I can fix this or should I go into the apple store and have them try and fix it?
