My iphone is connected to someone else's icloud account?

Someone that I knew gave me their iPhone a few months ago because they bought a new one and since she moved away I lost touch with her. A few days ago I thought it would be a good idea to restore the iphone without backing it up (how smart) and now it's not completely activated because the phone is connected to her iCloud account and I have no clue what the log in information is.

Is there any way I can fix this or should I go into the apple store and have them try and fix it?

You should be able to delete her account by resetting the iPhone settings?
if you mean you can't get on to the phone with out this information then try to skip it or activate it using iTunes or Wi-Fi
